The RoleAspenTech is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Project Manager and Business Process Improvement Specialist to join our Marketing Operations team. This role will involve overseeing large-scale & cross-functional marketing initiatives from inception to completion and driving business process improvement initiatives across the marketing department and with our counterparts in other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, marketing, and process optimization.
Your Impact
- Marketing Project Management:
- Project manage large marketing initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Projects can include large user conferences, product launches, M&A activities and technology implementations.
- Develop project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and address issues that arise.
- Communicate project status and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and clients.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Business Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing marketing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve communication, for example, lead management processes between Marketing and Sales.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of process changes and optimize performance, assuring value to the organization.
- Help train team members on new processes and ensure compliance with updated procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing and business operations.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in project management, marketing, or business process improvement.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
