(Multiple Hires) This job is located on site at our ESN office in Chesapeake, VA. Travel is not typical for this position. Duties & Responsibilities: * The selected candidate for this position shall perform logistical functions assisting in the development of technical data packages (TDPs). These packages contain electronic parts lists and engineering drawings that will be used for completion of the final tasking product. * Must demonstrate effective communications skills. Written and verbal interactions with DoD entities is required to obtain data and technical information needed for project objectives. * Ensures adherence to the customer's processes, the candidate will be responsible for contacting various naval supply (NAVSUP) and electronic equipment systems engineering agents (ISEAs) to acquire technical data in support of project objectives. * Ensures the accuracy and completeness of technical data that coincides with target assembly, to include revision levels, alternative or equivalent piece parts or materials. * Reviews and verifies electronic materials parts data for national stock number (NSN) support. Researches and locates alternative parts for current obsolete parts to support the assemblies repair efforts. Websites and Applications that candidate will need to be familiar with include: DLA FEDMALL, Haystack, Database 360.Accuris formerly IHS. * Candidate will be a part of our project team, exploring in-house as well as third-party tools to facilitate and automate data accuracy. Education & Certification: * Previous Naval supply background or experience working within the military environment/industry a plus. Naval Logistics Experience highly desired. * MS Office application knowledge, to include proficiency in MS Access for compiling parts data into a useable form in support of TDP package development. * Conduct logistical research and life cycle analysis using industry standards such as Open Architectural Retrieval System (OARS), Configuration Data Managers Database Open Architecture (CDMDOA), NAVSUP Inform 21 (Birdtrack), DLA E Mall. * Demand History, OneTouch, Logiquest, FEDLOG, SNAPSHOT PMS viewer, and Haystack. Security Clearance: * Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
