The Department of Music is home to 150+ music majors and minors as well as 35 full-time and part-time faculty. Through coursework, recitals, and performances by our 15 ensembles, students gain experience to prepare them for lifelong music making. Undergraduate students in the Department of Music can pursue degrees in performance, jazz performance, and music education, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Graduate students have the opportunity to earn a Master of Music in Performance or Master of Music Education degrees. Additionally, the Department of Music offers Music Entrepreneurship, Audio Technology, and Performer's certificates. The Department of Music resides in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. The exquisite facilities feature a 700-seat Concert Hall and a 100-seat Recital Hall in addition to studios, classrooms, rehearsal spaces, and practice rooms.
