Description

In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will have the opportunity to develop qualification readiness for Product, Package and Process Qualifications. You will work with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborate with subject matter experts within Skyworks. We are excited to help you start your professional journey and contribute to our success at Skyworks!

Responsibilities

* Perform thermal characterization on products for qualification to determine operating temperature and conditions.

* Test Program modification and modify existing test programs using C++.

* Work with reliability engineering to develop the burn-in conditions.

* Create burn-in setup spreadsheets as a guide for technicians (RF burn-in ovens are set-up by technicians). Include clear written instructions on the modes, frequencies, voltages, and power input required for RF burn-in.

* Develop and install configuration files for the Mega burn-in systems.

* Work with reliability engineering to develop Life Test Module (LTM) designs for qualification. Ensure that LTM designs are ready before products are received for qualification.

* Provide backup LTM designs when design engineering cannot support the requirements of the department.

* Provide technical support for all RF burn-in setup in the reliability lab.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related program.
  • Able to commit to full duration of Summer Internprogram (approximately 3 months).

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of RF amplifiers and RF test.
  • Excellent written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Experience with C++ programming.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with burn-in, temperature cycle, and other environmental testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of RF bench test is a plus.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
