Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coodinator to join our client's team in Richmond, VA. This position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in accounting within a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, eager to learn, and able to manage daily tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Help reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records within the accounting system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address inquiries and support the accounts payable process.
  • Contribute to month-end close activities, including assisting with accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

  • A basic understanding of accounting principles; coursework or experience in accounts payable is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
