Job Summary The Senior Legal Assistant assists the Executive Vice President General Counsel, Executive Director Legal Operations, and four (4) Senior Associate General Counsels in all legal administration matters involving the Corporation. Coordinates all third party interviews and schedules depositions involving physicians, nurses and other personnel of the Corporation. Serves as the liaison for the process of request for information, subpoenas and assisting with reconciling expenses. This position will assist the Executive Vice President General Counsel, Executive Director of Legal Operations, 4 Senior Association General Counsels, 2 paralegals. Job Responsibilities Facilitates the process and request for all travel arrangements scheduled through Uniglobe and other travel agencies at 5% efficiency, including the process for work orders and information services requests for the department within 4 to 8 hours (to be measured by date of request and process time). Administers, with the assistance of the Executive Director, Legal Operations, the creation of work spaces for all legal matters to be scanned into the legal document management system within 8 hours to perfect the legal review process at 5% (to be measured by date of creation and matter type). Perform administrative support functions and serve as the administrator of the Data Management System, ensuring all legal files are created, maintained and easily retrievable. Other duties as assigned Facilitates, with the assistance of the Lawyers and Executive Director Legal Operations, in collecting relevant contracts, affiliation agreements, leases, policies, and procedures, via Autonomy and ePolicy system, at 10% to perfect the turnaround time within 4-8 hours (to be measured by date of request and process. Facilitates the process of ordering departmental supplies via Staples Advantage and Workflow. Provides a monthly report with listing of supplies ordered and the cost associated for each purchase to resolve any negative cost variance at 10%, based on divisional goals associated with the costs for workload unit time). Resolves the distribution of subpoenas utilizing the EPIC system when served on the Office. Works with law enforcement agencies and employees to ensure turnaround time within 24 hours for compliance with the subpoenas to maintain an efficiency rate at 10% (to be measured by date receive and process time to resolve the service). Facilitates the process for all Requests for Information and Request for Production of Documents, including Emergency Medical Services Request for records and billing, within 72 hours, via HeallhEMS, Quillen, and lntermedix systems, to perfect the efficiency rate of 25% (measured by the workload based on the response lime). Facilitates the scheduling of Third Party Deposition and Interview upon request. Notifies all parties to obtain availability for third party matter. Administers correspondences, including appropriate medical documentations/records, within 72 hours to perfect efficiency rate al 25% (to be measured by date of request and process time). Administers, with the assistance of the paralegal and Executive Director, Legal Operations, the data of all pending litigation, closed litigation, asserted claims, potential claims, and settled litigation, via the document management system, to maintain an efficiency rate of 10% (to be measured by the work load based on matters filed). Education Required: -High School Diploma or GED is required. Preferred: -Bachelor's Degree in Administration or Legal related studies is preferred. Experience Required: Five (5) to eight (8) years of Executive Administration or Legal experience is required. Skills/Certifications/License Required: -Must have a strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications, including: Excel, Quattro Pro, Microsoft Word, and WordPerfect. -Must have a thorough knowledge of legal administrative procedures -Must be able to type 50 WPM and to transcribe and take dictation. -Must possess the ability to conduct legal research utilizing the legal research tools (LexisNexis) -Must be self-directed with excellent organization skills, able to maintain confidential information, and able to perform quickly under pressure. Preferred: -Paralegal Certificate/Certification or equivalent education training is preferred.
