Civil/ Construction Engineer

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Entry Level Civil/ Construction Engineer with our Civil- Roadway team. The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with local WisDOT standards.


Location

This will be an in-office position in our office located in Neenah, WI or Milwaukee, MI.


The Impact You Will Have

  • Responsible for overseeing one or more key tasks on construction projects and complying with all projects and company safety guidelines
  • Perform construction inspection, documentation, and communicate if the work observed appears in compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare inspector's daily reports and other project documentation as required by the project procedures, and being the example for documentation that supporting staff will refer to and checking their work.
  • Contribute to Division strategic growth initiatives and collaborate on regional growth strategy.
  • Interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, including the WisDOT.
  • Report on progress of work, including technical issues, status of work remaining to be done and any noted deficiencies.
  • Write meeting minutes and conduct select project meetings and participating in client events and relative association activities.


What You Will Need

  • 0-4 years of Civil design or construction oversight experience, recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering/Management or in a related engineering curriculum required, EIT preferred
  • Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities, WisDOT experience a plus!
  • Experience working on field projects desired.
  • Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to perform services efficiently and within budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to work effectivelyand in a team environment
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license held for a minimum of one year and a safe motor vehicle record meeting company standard.
