Director - NEMA Manufacturing

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit, including the full scope of Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operational Excellence, and Logistics. Each day, you will ensure achievement of established targets by overseeing progress and define improvement actions as needed. You will also showcase your expertise by executing business unit/product group quality strategy.
The work model for the role is onsite. #LI- onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Implementing the global business unit/product group manufacturing strategy in the country within your area of responsibility.
*Providing input on global business unit/product group strategy
*Developing proactive strategies to increase business profits, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
*Focusing on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, Requested On-Time Delivery, and cost reduction.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree required with Master's Degree preferred (Major Preferred: Engineering,
  • Mechanical or Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in progressive leadership assignments with minimum of 5 years directly related operations experience
  • 10 to 15 years of program management and business management experience with at least 5
  • years in industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven Lean Manufacturing skills with Green Belt
  • or Black Belt Certification - preferred
  • Minimal travel required (10%)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
