Trenchless Operations Specialist

Position Description:

The Trenchless Operations Specialist's primary role is to provide technical and operational support to the Project Execution Team to ensure the team receives all pertinent information, tools, equipment and resources necessary to construct in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Assist in field operations administrative support - creating daily client facing reports and tracking quantities.
  • Assist in tracking all information on the project including shop drawings, submittals, driller's logs, mud reports, geotech, disposal tickets, fuel tickets, receipts, T&M tickets, subcontracts/purchase orders, notices of delay, notices of change of conditions and change order requests.
  • Understand division of responsibility of construction scope and contract.
  • Assist in purchasing tools, parts, permanent materials. Travel for urgent components as required. Track material deliveries to the site and manage on-site inventory.
  • Manage, process, and distribute One Week Look Ahead Schedules
  • Administrate on-boarding of new craft and layoffs
  • Assist Payroll Department with check distribution and clarification of any questions.
  • Analyze and verify that submittals are in compliance with the contract documents.
  • Assist in implementing QA/QC Program.
  • Support Project Manager in analysis and tracking of buyout.
  • Assist in administering safety requirements.
  • Track and record all documents required from Subcontractors to be turned over to the Owner at project completion.


Qualifications:



  • BS in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent construction work experience
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to review shop drawings.
  • Understands approval/tracking process between subcontractors and engineers.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables.
  • Must have a robust knowledge of document control software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.


Other Requirements



  • 100% on project location in a field-based setting. Projects tend to be in the Northeast, but business operates nationwide.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
