Responsibilities

Are you looking for an opportunity to support a joint customer program office responsible for acquiring and integrating the future ground architecture which provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information?

In this position, you will provide hands-on technical guidance and input across a range of Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) functions in support of system acquisition, development, enhancement, and sustainment. You will support a customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the future Ground Architecture that will provide the user community with capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information. This program is based on a hybrid agile development process with the Government serving as the overall ground system integrator. You will work with stakeholders throughout the full-lifecycle systems engineering, integration, readiness, and transition processes from initial system planning and requirements management, through development, integration, transition to ops, and decommission.

The Selected Candidate Can Expect To:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure work is planned, managed, and executed in accordance with SEIT best practices and with an appropriate level of rigor to ensure technical integrity of the Program's baseline and products.
  • Facilitate technical exchanges and ongoing engagement with cross-program and cross-stakeholder remote teams to ensure end-to-end milestone completion and successful requirement and milestone sell-off and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and review of system and component-level roadmaps, schedules, and technical analysis to ensure approved and funded capability/functionality is available in time to meet commitments.
  • Assist in the development and review of engineering artifacts and inputs needed to update and maintain system and component-level architectures, conops, requirements, data flows, and interfaces.
  • Assist in the development, review and coordination of Program Office, system, and component-level strategies and plans, as well as execution status and reporting.
  • Assist the Program Office in preparation for, and engagement in, agile management activities to include increment planning, sprint planning, backlog grooming, scrums, and impediment identification and resolution.
  • Work with cross-component Integration Leads, Developers, and other SMEs to plan, coordinate, and ensure robust participation in enterprise, system and component-level testing, verification/validation, integration, readiness, and transition activities.
  • Participate in a variety of programmatic and technical forums while serving as the Program Office's representative to report progress, challenges, issues, or lead technical discussions.
  • Perform engineering assessments and reviews of new capabilities and Requests for Change (RFCs) impacting the system/component(s) and provide consolidated, coordinated responses.
  • Assist with the timely completion and closure of a wide range of SEIT actions and taskers.
  • Assist with the identification, tracking, mitigation, coordination, and resolution of enterprise, system, and component-level risks, issues, opportunities and/watch items.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with fully adjudicated Poly
  • Demonstrated experience with, and understanding of, full-lifecycle systems engineering and integration, governance, and project management support for complex systems.
  • Knowledge of SEIT processes and artifacts including system acquisition, development and integration, architecture planning and development, requirements management and related traceability tools and constructs, readiness, verification, validation, test, configuration management, schedule management, and risk management
  • Experience and ability to lead and collaborate with mission partners and stakeholders across organizational boundaries, and in cross-functional teams.
  • Agile planning and management experience, including familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Atlassian Jira.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and accomplish a wide variety of tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of National Technical Means ground systems (IC or DoD)
  • Experience developing roadmaps or other strategic, integrated visualization products.
  • Knowledge of/experience with SW development, SW/HW delivery and decommissioning, and information assurance requirements.
  • Dev/Sec/Ops experience.
  • Experience with test tools/environments such as TestRail, Zephyr
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud architecture concepts.

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
