Brief Description: The Equipment & Yard Supervisor (EYS) reports to and receives day-to-day work and project direction from the Senior Technical Manager and supports assigned regional operations. The EYS works closely with the operations team and proactively assists in achieving objectives within the Company's procedural guidelines. The EYS leads, supervises, and will direct a variable sized team of additional personnel depending on operational and project requirements.
- Ensure all material and equipment transactions within the region are completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Initiate Capital Project Requests (CPRs) for required equipment when applicable.
- Implement processes and procedures to facilitate rig and yard inventory planning in order to maintain accurate and current equipment status, location, and availability.
- Maintain and report on material and equipment records in Oracle EBS.
- Initiate collaborative efforts by sharing key learnings, effective processes, and best practices with peers at the regional and Company level.
- Track and report on compliance with equipment certification requirements.
- Ensure safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of Company-owned/operated equipment in the yard in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the yard work site with a clean and orderly appearance at all times in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all equipment stored in the yard is in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Conduct a Comprehensive Shop, Yard, and Office inspection and audit monthly, ensuring the timely correction of all non-conformities.
- Ensure that processes and procedures are implemented and revised as necessary to maintain inventory control at all times of all capital and non-capital assets.
- Create and conduct rig and yard inventories for the Region, validating and reconciling material both physically and within the systems in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and within designated timeframes.
- Initiate the billing process for Drill Pipe Lost or Downgraded as required.
- Maintain both the physical and electronic system counts for tubular inventory for the Regions as movement occurs.
- Safely navigate drilling rig work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during normal rig operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather).
- Travel to visit drilling rig work sites and support business units; occasionally requires extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
- Lift and carry 20 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to demonstrate a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools.
- Use vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch for, and report ongoing work activities to co-workers and third parties.
- Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems.
- Accurately recall of information over short and long-term memory.
- Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
- Remain alert and focused during occasional periods of extended work hours.
- Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others.
- Immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times.
- Work in an office environment including entering and managing data related to EAM processes and appropriate metrics into electronic databases (e.g. computer workstation).
- Proficiency with written and oral communication.
- Must possess intermediate to advanced level computer skills with a proven ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications, e.g. MS Word, Power Point, Project, Visio, Excel etc. and other MS software applications to drive efficiency in productivity.
- Possess knowledge and experience in inventory management.
- Must be able to accurately enter and manage data related to EAM processes and report on appropriate metrics based on information maintained within the database (e.g. computer workstation).
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills including ability to interact productively with coworkers and third parties.

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years oil field equipment and capable of identifying different assets associated to the maintenance repair facilities
Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle and meet the requirements of the company vehicle use agreement and driving policy
Live within a 2-hour driving distance to the yard or be willing to relocate to the assigned area
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
5+ years' experience in oil field services or a related industry
2+ years working experience in Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or other Oracle Applications is preferred
Previous managerial experience
Previous work experience in a maintenance and/or asset management system
Previous work experience in purchasing or shipping and receiving
Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills is essential
This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The EYS will be occasionally exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. The EYS must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The incumbent must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive response requirements. The person must also be willing to work extended schedules that may include working days and occasionally nights, weekends, and holidays.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and manage an indeterminate sized team of yard technicians in support of regional operations and project requirements
