Overview
The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program is currently recruiting for Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026 with appointment to the program to begin in July of 2025 via the NRMP's Medical Specialties Match. Applications for the AY25-26 are being accepted via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) only. The program can only rank candidates who have registered with the NRMP. The program does have unfilled positions for the current academic year. Responsibilities Job Summary Fellow physicians function under the auspices of and are appointed to a post graduate year position by the Program Director. The PGY4 fellow must meet or exceed specialty-specific Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) milestone competencies commensurate with their level. PGY4 fellow must demonstrate continued acquisition of skills and competencies which are essential for progression to graduate and transition to independent practice in areas of medical knowledge, professionalism, systems-based practice, practice-based learning and improvement, well-being and patient safety. The PGY4 fellow is responsible for providing supervision and teaching to residents, and medical students in accordance with ACGME requirements and as deemed appropriate by the senior fellow, faculty and or Program Director who is ultimately responsible for the patient's plan of care.
Qualifications Education Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program. Required Licenses and Certifications Completion of Steps 1-3 in either USMLE or COMLEX Required Obtain/maintain AZ Medical or Osteopathic Board training permit under ARS32-1432.02 Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Fingerprint Clearance Card - State Required |
