The Division of Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care

Our Wellness and Weight Management Program currently sees over 2000 patient visits annually at one of three outpatient locations and we are expanding. Come join our team of general pediatric obesity medicine specialists. We work in partnership with nutritionists and partner with social workers, as needed. Supporting pediatric faculty include a large team of subspecialists to provide the expertise to help with evaluation and management of the wide array of serious comorbidities identified. The pediatric leader we are seeking will provide obesity specialist care at our Lurie Children's satellite locations in the Northern and Western suburbs, which will include care for children across all ages. We serve a very diverse and predominantly publicly insured patient population. We anticipate that a portion of the clinical time will take place in coordination with the Bariatric Surgery program. This attending physician will also have the opportunity to participate in the educational of the Northwestern University McGaw pediatric residency program and medical students training. The Wellness and Weight Management Program has an active research agenda and is a member of the POWER (Pediatric Obesity Weight Management Evaluation Registry).
