We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Residency Program to oversee and lead our Family Medicine residency program. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the residency program to ensure the highest quality of education and training for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the residency program in alignment with the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and requirements for the residency program.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and appointment of residents, and provide leadership in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with department chairs, faculty, and other stakeholders to design and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets educational objectives and standards.
  • Provide mentorship and support to residents, and promote an environment conducive to learning, growth, and professional development.
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve the residency program, incorporating best practices and innovative educational methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with residents, faculty, and other key stakeholders to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage the administrative and financial aspects of the residency program, including budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting.

**Qualifications:** -

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Family Medicine. - Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Illinois and in good standing with regulatory authorities.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in graduate medical education, with a proven track record of leadership and program development.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation requirements for residency programs, including ACGME standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment. - Experience in academic research and scholarly activities is desirable.
