Position: Credit Analyst Intern (Summer 2025)

Organizational Location: Houston, Texas

What the role is

Introduces students to the various processes involved in underwriting and servicing commercial loans. Mentoring relationships with Cadence leaders, "Meet & Greets" featuring guest speakers and team-building activities provide important engagement opportunities while simultaneously allowing participants to make valuable contributions to the bank and the communities we serve. This is an on-site position.



  • Participate in credit underwriting training including readings, exercises, and review sessions.
  • Participate in business skills training including review sessions, exercises and presentations.
  • Participate in question and answer sessions with Senior Loan Committee including reviewing credit packages ahead of time.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • The program runs from June 5 -- July 28, 2024.
  • Positions are available in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.


Required Skills:



  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Plan to take a minimum of 9 hours of accounting including intermediate before graduation
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities and internship/work experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Word and Excel, as well as other database application systems


Education:



  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with one year or less before graduation.
