The Impact You'll Make

Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced application. Your role involves designing, analyzing equipment, conducting experimental test, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and solutions, applying engineering methods to design.
  • Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data use it to inform and improve electrical system designs.
  • Exhibit sound judgment in developing functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
  • Collaborate with engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components, fostering a cross-functional approach to innovation.
  • Hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to a diverse audience in design reviews.
Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of related experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
  • Understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems.
  • System level understanding of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
  • Working knowledge in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and low voltage circuit design for power and control applications.
  • Expertise in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.
  • Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).
  • This is a graduate eligible role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
  • Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability.
  • Proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
  • Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry or related (industrial, automotive, military)

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position:$95,000.00-$176,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
