As manager of Technology Communications and Events, you will play a critical role within the Corporate Communications organization to create and execute innovative, strategic communications programs and events that span channels and formats. These activities should align with business objectives; inform, engage, and inspire employees; and position Lam as a thought leader externally.

You will develop and implement communications initiatives and events aligned to Lam technical leadership's vision for the ~10,000-strong person technical community. You will partner closely with Lam's technical leadership and communications team to re-imagine and transform how we engage with our technical community so that this critical audience is well-informed on the vision, strategy, and key priorities and highly engaged to execute to them.

In partnership with subject matter experts, you will create and deliver highly effective content and messages. This is an ideal role for an exceptionally strong storyteller who has a passion for creating compelling and creative content, with a keen eye for detail and solid experience in supporting the communications of technology executive leaders.
This role requires an individual with strong leadership, organizational skills, and a background in both corporate communication fundamentals as well as event management. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish relationships with our technical community and ensure the successful execution of our events. This person will also have a passion for seeking new and innovative event approaches, channels, and methods to drive breakthrough audience experiences.

Who We're Looking For

Responsibilities Communications

- Support communication strategies and programs for internal and external communications on behalf of Lam's Chief Technology Officer; Sr. Vice President, Global Products Group; and head of Sustainability.

- Execute the executive communications strategy, including supporting the development of keynotes, organizational announcements, video scripts, talking points, and other similar materials as needed

- Create and execute to communications strategies around Lam's annual Sustainable Business report and net zero strategy.

Events

- Develop and implement an innovative event strategy to engage Lam Research's technical community that is aligned to and supports Lam's technical leadership objectives. Events include Lam's annual internal Engineering and Technology Conference and technical seminars and poster sessions.

- Identify and drive the development of event content, including sourcing and managing event speakers, curating engaging and relevant technical topics, and ensuring a strong balance of technical, informative, and engaging content.

- Plan, budget, and oversee the execution of events, ensuring that they are on time, within budget, and high quality.

- Manage event registration, promotion, and marketing efforts to drive attendance and maximize engagement, while continuously analyzing and reporting on event ROI and other key performance indicators.

Key Competencies

- Experience supporting communications and messaging platforms for senior-level leader or C-Suite executive preferred.

- Experience working in highly complex technology industry, preferably the semiconductor industry.

- Quickly understand complex business issues to distill messaging for diverse audiences, including the creation of engaging PowerPoint presentations.

- Knowledge of internal communications strategies and channels specifically in working with C-Suite executives.

- Manage intake, consultation, and delivery processes to ensure deadlines are met and information is provided to executives in a timely fashion.

- Work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution.

- Skills handling multiple projects, prioritizing, and acting with a sense of urgency.

- Strong team spirit, positive outlook, and sense of humor.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required

- Minimum 8-10 years of previous events and communications experience, particularly within the semiconductor, technical, or engineering sectors.

- Previous experience supporting a CTO or Chief Sustainability Officer

- Prior experience leading and developing events in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

- Strong understanding of the latest trends in technology and a genuine passion for creating engaging experiences for technical audiences.

- Exceptional project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

- Must reside in the US

- Ability to travel up to 15%

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
