Position(s) I am Applying for Analyst Steptoe LLP, a Washington, DC-based Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking an Analyst to support the Firm's International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in its Washington, DC office. Essential Functions Complete other duties as assigned Conduct research and draft foreign policy analysis, market and reputational risk analysis Contribute analysis to the Steptoe risk publication Contribute to the development of advocacy strategies Conduct media monitoring and compile news and analysis summaries Attend policy discussions at Washington-area think tanks and Congressional hearings Contribute to due diligence investigations Interact with clients to assess needs and provide support Non-Essential Functions Complete other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in International Affairs, Political Science or a relevant field Minimum one year experience analyzing policy or security issues pertaining to Europe or Asia Success Factors Proficiency in one or more foreign languages desired High degree of organization, initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to excel in a team environment Work Environment Available to work in the office 9:00 - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Hybrid work arrangements may be available for this position Non-Smoking environment Available to work beyond regular hours when necessary The anticipated salary for this position is $85,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
