Overview

VTG is seeking a senior financial analyst to support an exciting customer mission in Tyson's Corner, VA. The successful candidate will work on-site with a team of 4 other financial analysts supporting senior level customers with strategic financial planning, business process improvement, spend plan management, budgeting, financial reporting, and other related responsibilities.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) providing financial analysis and reporting support to executive level customers. The Financial Analyst will work with senior government officials to advise on all aspects of financial performance to maximize mission value, mitigate financial risk, and meet financial commitments. Responsibilities include:

  • Design processes and procedures to support financial reporting including spend plans, budgeting, and planning.
  • Implement processes and procedures supporting SLA establishment as well as providing expert guidance on contractual requirements, obligations, and funding tenure.
  • Monitor and provide analysis of spending trends, obligation, execution rates, and maintain communication with Budget and Plans representatives.
  • Process budgetary requirements and financial reports.
  • Assist workforce with guidance on financial processing and policies.
  • Design, implement and improve processes and procedures for planning out-year budgeting.
  • Prepare effective correspondence to justify funding increases and explain programs to various audiences.
  • Building briefing materials to communicate financial information to stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

  • TS/SCI with Poly.
  • 12+ years of experience performing financial analysis and reporting or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of USG budgeting and execution process.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables.
  • Moderate skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
