Requisition ID:73258 Job Description As a key leader in the Mobile Solutions business unit, your focus will be on driving our PA and Front-End Module developments by leading multiple design teams (including design engineers, techs, and validation engineers) locally. You will be responsible for quickly defining architectures, driving rapid feasibility studies, and driving out cost, all while meeting aggressive customer development schedules to ensure we are first to sample, first to production, first in performance and best in cost. This combination of goals requires exceptional technical, business, interpersonal, developmental and inspirational leadership skills, combined with a natural desire to win through innovation, teamwork and best practice product development execution at all phases. This position requires strong cross-functional team building skills, including Marketing, System Engineering, Program Management, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Wafer Fabrication Engineering, Design Enablement, Component Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Operations, Finance and Human Resources. The candidate must have an excellent understanding of high efficiency, low-cost power amplifiers and integrated RF front-end modules (PAs, filters/duplexers, antenna RF switches, couplers, LNAs and all associated impedance matching) for the cellular mobile communications market. He/She must possess cross-functional leadership and customer interface skills. The candidate must have demonstrated excellent communication skills and a passion for technical team leadership and development. Responsibilities In addition the responsibilities will include: * Overall leadership of multiple module designs currently in development for our largest customers. The candidate will need to serve as the customer interface to the customer as well ensure multiple key programs development is on track and performance is leading. * Detailed Architecture, floor planning, cost estimation, schedule estimation, specification negotiation, resource estimation and risk assessment for identified new product development programs * Resource allocation and tracking to help identify when additional projects can be initiated as well as the capabilities and limitations of available resources to execute any given program * Drive design methodology improvements, best practice adherence and overall compliance to Skyworks MSB Product Realization Process * Ensure new team members are properly trained and mentored, and all team members are developing to their full potential * Work closely with the product leads to ensure they have the necessary resources to meet critical goals, and set appropriate priority when resource conflicts occur * Participate in the recruiting, interview, hiring and on-boarding activities of top notch talent * Provide regular updates to Senior Management on progress toward meeting our goals * Facilitate and lead detailed technical discussions with different customers to define architectures, drive rapid feasibility studies, and support system studies. Requirements and Qualifications BSEE and 15 years work experience or MS and 12 years or PhD and 10 years Experience and background in the following areas: 6+ years' leadership experience Excellent presentation skills Strong data analysis skills Experience presenting directly to customers Experience driving continual methodology/process improvements Strong technical acumen and relevant experience in the Semiconductor or Cellular industry Tools such as HFSS, Momentum, ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station HBT, FET, CMOS device experience RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, PAE, PA performance, Analog design Communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM" Managing Multi-disciplined teams Managing customer engagement and technical reviews #LI-MS1 Skyworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
