Overview

If you are looking to work on a wide range of technologies, architectures, and IP for next generation products, the Connectivity Technology group is the place for you. As part of a small, highly skilled team you will work with customers, marketing, product teams, and Skyworks Technology/Manufacturing group to identify critical needs for next generation Connectivity products. You will design, prototype, and validate new PA, Switch, LNA, & analog control circuits with the goal of delivering this IP for integration into the next generation of WiFi FEMs and new product segments.

Job Description

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a highly skilled analog designer as part of the Connectivity technology team. As an analog design engineer in the technology team, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of analog integrated circuit IP for next generation connectivity devices across a range of technologies including CMOS, SOI, and BiCMOS. Typical circuitry to be developed will include BJT and MOS high speed biasing blocks, eFuse, logarithmic RF detectors, Over-voltage/over-current protection circuits, regulators, Closed loop electro-thermal feedback circuits, Programmable current DACs, and temperature sensors. Multi-technology simulation will be a key requirement for validating multi-chip interactions and assessing overall system behavior. Knowledge of RF circuit design is a plus.

To be successful in this role, you should be fully capable of top-level die development, verification, & tape-out procedures and a strong collaborator.

Responsibilities

In support of the Connectivity technology roadmap, you will be responsible for identifying and developing cutting edge analog IP solutions that solve the challenges of existing solutions. Working with the technology team you will design, tapeout, and validate advanced FEM front-end solutions.

Responsibilities include:

* Identify critical analog IP improvement areas and perform feasibility studies in support of improved PA/Sw/LNA FEM solutions.

* Explore new processes to meet the needs of Connectivity products and define applicable analog test vehicles for development

* Engage in all aspects of RFIC analog design including Switch, LNA, LDO, & Power amplifier using Cadence simulation tools in support of IC tapeouts

* Specify digital requirements to digital design team

* Drive development of PA & LNA controller architectures & control features, working closely with technology team members

* Perform MTS solutions to validate system level functionality

* Ensure robust designs including PVT simulations

* Work with cross-functional teams from Foundry engineering, packaging, and test to realize advance prototypes.

* Support development and execution of the overall Connectivity Technology roadmap
