The School of Nursing-Camden is hiring Course Assistants for the 2024- 2025 academic year. Course Assistants will be utilized in the SNC to assist in the student learning process and to promote student success each semester. Course Assistants may be assigned to either assist the nursing faculty who teach didactic (theory) courses with administrative duties and/or to serve as subject matter tutors in the SNC Tutoring Center. The SNC Tutoring Center is open Monday-Friday, 10 am - 6 pm and will be staffed by several part-time Course Assistant Tutors.

Applicants must possess the relevant clinical expertise and experience for the assigned courses. Course assistants must be physically available on exam days for in-person exam proctoring. Will be expected to virtually attend an orientation to learn basic Canvas LMS technical skills as well as teaching-learning strategies.

Multiple positions available.

Duties: Administrative Course Assistant Role
* Assist course professors in grading papers, case studies, discussion boards, ATI or educational resource submissions.
* Do all administrative work in a timely manner, as needed by course professors.
* Act as a role model for professional nursing
* With notice, proctor live exams (on campus)
* Submit a biweekly report of activity to Student Success Coach
* Communicate in a professional and timely manner with course professors, staff and students

Duties: Tutoring Course Assistant Role
* Keep regular, in-person office hours as outlined in the contract.
* Oversee all recitation sessions via in-person instruction, according to schedule of classes.
* Provide small group and individual tutoring related to course content, test taking, and student success strategies.
* Provide exam reviews at the direction and request of course professors.
* When needed, proctor live exams (on campus)
* Act as a role model for professional nursing.
* Communicate in a professional and timely manner with course professors, staff, and students.
* Submit a biweekly report of activity to Student Success Coach
