Maintenance Mechanic

General Summary of Position

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities.

Primary Duties:

1. Carries out construction and renovation assignments in accordance with work order and specification.

1. Coordinates preventive maintenance with emergency and repair work activities.

1. Performs general maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, refrigeration, cooling, and air-conditioning systems and equipment of the hospital.

1. Performs repairs on mechanical and electrical systems as directed and inspects assigned areas and responds to logbook requests.

1. Repairs building systems including roofs, walls, fixtures, and trim.

1. Monitors conditions to ensure compliance with all safety codes and manufacturers specifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent required.
• 1-2 years 2 years related maintenance experience required.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
