MHVI: Advanced Heart Failure APP

MedStar Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Heart Failure Program at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Heart Failure, Cardiology, and/or ICU setting. This exciting position involves patient management in both the in-patient and outpatient settings. The work schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts Monday to Friday, and does not include weekends, holidays, or call.

MedStar Health is one of the most active advanced heart failure programs in the country with a team that spans Baltimore and Washington DC. The clinical team includes 5 advanced heart failure cardiologists primarily based in Baltimore and 9 advanced heart failure cardiologists and a team of APPs in Washington DC and southern Maryland. Union Memorial Hospital serves as MedStar's cardiovascular hub in Baltimore with advanced cardiac imaging, robust interventional and structural heart capabilities, advanced electrophysiology services, and cardiac surgery. The advanced heart failure team in Baltimore treats the full spectrum of heart failure (Stages B, C and D), non-surgical inpatient and outpatient LVAD and heart transplant recipients, as well as patients with infiltrative heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, etc.

Position Requirements:

MD state licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

This position has a hiring range of $115,000 - $143,619.
