The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (which is part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey) seeks to employ a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology. The individual would devote a majority of his/her time to general Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology with clinical responsibilities to include attending on the inpatient Hepatology service, outpatient Hepatology clinics, and performing GI procedures. The faculty member will be responsible for patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, research, and teaching (medical students/resident physicians and subspecialty fellows) in the field of General Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology. The faculty member will also be expected to further enhance and expand our liver transplant program. Duties and responsibilities will be performed at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (185 South Orange Avenue, Newark, NJ 07103); University Hospital (150 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ 07103); Doctor's Office Center (90 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ 07103); and Ambulatory Care Center (140 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ 07103). Requirements include Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent; Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology; New Jersey State Medical License; State of New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (
CDS) Physician Registration; and Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from Drug Enforcement Administration (
DEA). |
