The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark is recruiting a full-time diagnostic radiologist to serve in an administrative capacity as Assistant Residency Program Director. Fellowship training in abdominal/body imager is preferred.
We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values education of residents, clinical excellence, and faculty personal growth and well-being.
The Department of Radiology has 39 clinical and research faculty members who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department will undergo a residency program merger with a total of 46 diagnostic radiology residents rotating through 4 clinical sites as of July 2024.
The position will offer a market competitive salary and excellent benefits. 20% protected nonclinical time will be provided to serve in a leadership capacity as assistant residency program director. J1Waiver candidates and new graduates with interest in education also encouraged to apply.
The department is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic imaging at University Hospital, a tertiary care center as well as the Doctor's Office Center, an outpatient facility on campus. University Hospital is a liver transplant center and a Level 1 trauma center comprising of state-of-the-art equipment and employs medical and dental professionals who are specialists in their field.
