Position Summary

To produce electronic artwork and color separations for the flexographic printing process using mainstream graphics software applications while meeting customer needs by maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.

Job Description

Artwork Creation



  • Create and convert artwork into graphics files for use in manufacturing via electronic graphics applications to customer requirements, government regulations, and flexographic printing specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills in the use of specialized graphics software with experience in trapping color separations.
  • Collaborate with all necessary work groups to ensure requests are understood and processed promptly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to consistently produce error-free work.
  • Recognize areas of recurring needs and address them for future reference to avoid repetitive questions and defects.
  • Balance multiple competing demands and prioritize personal workload within the small self-directed team to meet all customers' needs.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing technical environment.


Technical Knowledge



  • Evaluate customer-supplied artwork for printability issues and revise files as necessary based on knowledge and understanding of the flexographic printing process and its limitations.
  • Assist team and other work groups as a technical and problem-solving resource.


Process Improvement



  • Participate and support the customer-focused work teams, through positive reinforcement of the workforce, constructive critique of the process, and support of departmental goals.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to address these areas.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Graphics Imaging Technologist and within Graphics workflow, is required.
  • Demonstrate skills in oral and written communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution, problem-solving, organization, and time management.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to adapt to changes in work and technical environment.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
