Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure and Microsoft Architect to lead the design, transformation, and implementation of our enterprise data environment. This role is pivotal in accelerating process automation, enabling real-time analytics, providing self-service insights, and integrating machine learning and GenAI capabilities across SAP and Non-SAP applications. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex Azure-based solutions. As an Azure Architect / Team Lead, you will lead a team of skilled engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to drive our cloud strategy and ensure the successful delivery of innovative and scalable Azure solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management:

* Lead and mentor a team of Azure engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

* Provide guidance on best practices, technical solutions, and career development for team members.

* Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.

2. Architectural Design:

* Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure services.

* Develop and maintain technical documentation for architecture designs, deployment processes, and best practices.

* Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and approaches to enhance our Azure capabilities.

3. Solution Implementation:

* Oversee the deployment of Azure solutions, including infrastructure, applications, and integrations.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure solutions with existing systems and processes.

* Ensure that solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

* Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

5. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

* Utilize Azure monitoring tools to track performance, identify issues, and optimize the performance of cloud solutions.

* Implement best practices for cost management and resource utilization to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of Azure services.

6. Security and Compliance:

* Ensure that all Azure solutions are designed and implemented with a focus on security, compliance, and data protection.

* Stay updated on the latest security trends and Azure features to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

7. Continuous Improvement:

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Azure-based solutions.

* Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team, encouraging ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications / Technical Skills

* Data Management:

* Strong experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

* Knowledge of data migration and integration tools like Azure Data Factory.

* Backend Technologies:

* Proficiency in backend languages such as C#, .NET, Python, Java, or Node.js.

* Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.

* DevOps and CI/CD:

* Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services and/or JIRA.

* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.

* Security and Compliance:

* Understanding of Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and key compliance standards.

* Knowledge of encryption, identity management, and secure access controls.

* Monitoring and Optimization:

* Experience with Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and performance tuning.

* Ability to implement cost management and resource optimization strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

* Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture and backend development, with at least 5 years of experience specifically with Microsoft Azure.

* Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects.

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
