Job Type: Support Staff - Union Bargaining Unit: SSA Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $49,296.71-$49,296.71 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Supervisor, Sterilization, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the sterilization area and all instrumentation that requires reprocessing. Responsibilities Will inspect, pack and sterilize dental instruments and materials and operate the sterilization equipment according to protocol. Will collect soiled instrumentation and deliver clean instrumentation according to schedule. Maintains the sterilization area neatly according to policy. Performs other related duties as assigned. Incumbent must adhere strictly to safety, sterilization, handling and technical regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two years of college or completion of secretarial school of equivalent business experience plus a minimum of one- or two-years related experience. Completion of sterile processing training program with a certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST); or a NYS Dental Assistant certification.
