Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $86,500-$112,800. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. We seek collaborative, dynamic, and innovative individuals dedicated to advancing nursing research and education. Assistant professors conduct and disseminate research that contributes to nursing knowledge while teaching and mentoring undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS, DNP, and PhD) students to prepare them for successful nursing careers. As tenure-track faculty, you will join the University of California Academic Senate and benefit from the opportunity to influence positive change across the entire University community. We seek candidates with exceptional research capabilities, teaching experience, and a profound commitment to advancing nursing research. Ideal candidates will show clear evidence of an early-stage, focused research program, ideally supported by a completed postdoctoral fellowship. Research areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, biobehavioral and mental health interventions, symptom science, care for underserved or chronic disease populations, integrative health and wellness, health policy, and technological approaches to health equity, planetary health, and environmental justice. The assistant professor will teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students to help prepare them for a career in nursing.
