Description
Essential Job Functions Interprets sales orders & manufactures mats accordingly with limited supervision. Uses production schedule to determine material to be cut. Uses a manual pump lift table to obtain and transport rolls from roll storage area to load onto roll stand. Prepares tile/foam per order requirements. Operates/cycles CTW machine. Measures the material width and initiates cut; trimming all sides necessary. Radius cuts corners where necessary. Operates & maintains spray-gun unit to apply adhesive to rug hold and other miscellaneous items. Accurately controls cutting instruments, utility knives and powered rotary saws, to specification tolerances. Retains all scrap material to be weighed and recorded. Packages material according to establish specifications. Continuously monitors the quality of the product to insure that it meets quality standards. Completes all paperwork required. Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Observes all safety and environmental procedures. Performs other duties as request by supervision. Job Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Ability to read and use a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch. Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision, given proper instructions. Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend sales orders for non-standard matting. Ability to work on hands and knees while constructing non-stand matting. Ability to operate foot pump lift table. Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pulls with one or both hands, reaches horizontally, and below waist. Frequently stands, squats, kneels, crouches, and crawls. Working Conditions Rarely (0% to 33%) Occasionally (34% to 66%) Frequently (67% to 100%) Rarely deals with the outside, low humidity, wetness, slippery surfaces, vibration, confined space, high elevation, noise, oil, odors, explosives, electrical hazards, or toxic conditions. Occasionally deal with high temperature, high humidity, and low temperature. Frequently deals with the inside, moving objects, and chemical irritants. Equipment Used This job uses CTW machine, spray gun, powered rotary saw, utility knife, measurement gauges, tape measure, wolf cutter, tape gun, staple gun, and forklift.
