The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts, utilizing systematic, innovative, and synergistic approaches to leverage a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and execute the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and Undergraduate Admissions.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is a key contributor to student success and student access in higher education, administering all types of financial assistance for eligible students demonstrating financial need, academic merit, and/or other merit factor(s). This includes, but is not limited to scholarships, grants, loans, and/or work-study awards.

Reporting to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships Assistant Director of Federal and State Programs, working independently under general supervision, the Financial Aid Fiscal Analyst uses professional financial aid concepts applied to a limited number of financial aid functions. Responsible for disbursement coordination and reconciliation of veteran programs, outside scholarships, alternative loans, federal and state programs. Administers the federal Return to Title IV (R2T4) process. Provides information and interpretation of standard policies, procedures, and regulations. Responsible for monitoring all fiscal functions related to student financial aid, including daily student account operations, disbursement, cash reconciliations and billing in compliance with Accounting and Financial Aid regulations and guidelines. Receives direction regarding more complex programs.

  • Basic knowledge of student loan programs, funding processes, Federal regulations, and Federal loan processing system. Required
  • Knowledge of accounting practices, theories, and principles in order to analyze daily reports and reconcile accounts Required
  • Knowledge of basic accounting transactions to monitor and reconcile ledger activity Required
  • Basic knowledge of University policies, processes, and procedures. Required
  • Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Required
  • Ability to apply knowledge of policies to individual situations. Required
  • Problem identification and critical thinking skills. Required
  • Ability to calculate financial aid with attention to detail and accuracy. Required
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Required
  • Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills. Active listening skills. Possesses customer service orientation skills. Required
  • Ability to assess processes and recommend improvements. Good interpersonal skills Required
  • Proficiency with standard office software, internet, and email applications. Basic knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Required
  • Experience using complex databases. Required
  • Experience using Student Financial Planning and/or Student Billing systems Preferred
  • Experience using content management software Preferred

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.07- $28.07 (Hourly).

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • 1-3 years Reconciliation, student financial aid, general ledger

Special Conditions:

  • Occasional/seasonal nights and weekends required
  • Must complete and pass a US Department of Justice background check
  • Hybrid position. On-site availability is a requirement. On-site days to be determined.
