Position overview Salary range: The salary range for this position is $53,100-$188,200. Position description Specialist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine. These are typically grant-funded positions under the sponsorship of various faculty members. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with research experience in a specialization is strongly preferred. Positions are depend upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Appointments are based on performance and availability of funding. Assistant Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree), or 5 yrs. of experience. Associate Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience. Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience.
