Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Product Owner to join Operations Technology Consumer AML group with a development background. You be will responsible for maximizing the value for a product in addition to defining the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. This is an individual contributor role. Experience in Hadoop technologies is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Up to 50% of hands-on development to remediate issue and bug identified.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment.
  • Work to possess a strong knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain.
  • Creates and prioritizes work for one team. Learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams. With some guidance, creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog. Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints.
  • Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
  • Overall team coordination and leadership with Feature Lead teammate on BASE team's work, prioritization, leadership, and connection to other technology teams across OpsTech, TI, GIS, and Risk.
  • Analyze the domain from a risk perspective and collaborate with risk teammates to prioritize items to reduce any past-due items.
  • Analyze data about bugs and incidents to ensure teammates are thinking about permanent fixes and giving attention where needed to keep apps running smoothly.
  • partner with TI teammates to ensure infrastructure requirements, version, End of Life, and monitoring needs are being planned in advance and caught/remediated/addressed prior to any resulting incidents (and avoiding the need for ERPs)
  • Partnering with project teammates to ensure smooth handoffs of releases and support transitions.

  • Experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; preferably in Business Analyst / Product Owner role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technology/development and business partners.
  • Excellent written communication skills and have excellent communication skills and client presence.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA for Agile projects.
  • Must be a team player and be able to build positive working relationships with team members and project managers that encourage open communication and a supportive team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
