Application Window Open date: July 23, 2024 Most recent review date: Friday, Aug 23, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is currently accepting applications for temporary Unit 18 Lecturers (Non-Senate Faculty) to teach Primary Care Women's Health and Primary Care Obstetrics in the Doctor of Nursing Practice- Family Nurse Practitioner Program. These lecturer appointments will initially be made on a quarterly basis in the School of Nursing, with potential for continuing employment. Salary is commensurate with experience and at varying percentages of time, depending on the number and nature of courses assigned. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: The School is looking for dynamic and collaborative educators who have shown an established track record for developing high quality graduate-level curriculum designed for online, synchronous and asynchronous delivery. Candidates are required to have previous experience teaching these courses and/or similar courses in the University of California system and/or an equivalent education setting. The minimum requirements are a DNP or PhD in an applicable field with clinical experience appropriate to the course (women's health and/or obstetrics) and teaching experience at the college level. Since 2007, our program has had an astonishing 100 percent pass rate on National Nurse Practitioner Board Certified exams. Academic degrees offered include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, with or without a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration (DNP-FNP); and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Science. The School of Nursing is one of four academic units in the College of Health Sciences which includes a School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science and Programs in Public Health. With these units, along with the UCI Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is pioneering a team-based, interprofessional model of research, education and patient-centered care for the 21st century.
