JOB TITLE: Part Time Congregate Meal Site Coordinator CORPS/DEPARTMENT: Salvation Army Older Alaskan Program (OAP) FLSA STATUS: Part-Time (25-29 Hours or Less/week); Non-Exempt Rate of Pay: $10.34 per hr Location: 1712 A street/ Mckinnell House Scope of Position/Essential Functions: Congregate meals are a part of the Nutrition, Transportation and Support Program contract with Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and delivers services to clients of the Older Alaskans Program. Services under this contract include meals, assisted transportation and homemaker activities. Congregate Meal Site Managers are responsible for the daily operations of a congregate meals site. JOB FUNCTIONS Ensure that all Federal, State and Municipal guidelines are met. These include but are not limited to ensure compliance with all food service, food code and sanitation guidelines and codes.

Qualifications:
Software-related Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook familiarity preferred. Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training. Language Skills: Must be able to understand, follow and give both written and oral instructions and be comfortable working with diverse individuals in face-to-face contact and over the telephone. The employee must be able to use speech and hearing for ordinary and telephone conversation. Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations. Performance Skills: Must be punctual, organized, self-motivated, flexible, and possess a desire to learn and assist those he/she interacts with. Protect the Mission: Must complete the online course for this area and pass the Background Checks required by The Salvation Army for employment. Driver Requirements: Must be a licensed driver with acceptable driving history. Must also complete and pass The Salvation Army Driver Safety Course. Acknowledgement of Religious Purposes of The Salvation Army: The employee acknowledges that he/she has been informed and understands The Salvation Army's religious purpose and status as a church. High School or Equivalent (required)
Experience
2 years: Stable work history with minimum two years' work experience where food service was the focus of the work. (preferred)
