  • Support and contribute to CEC's strategy for growing our bridge and transportation practice across the Ohio market.
  • Collaborate on pursuits, proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules for public-sector transportation clients.
  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including roadway, geotechnical, survey, and permitting professionals.
  • Provide technical leadership through quality assurance, design oversight, and review of bridge calculations, reports, and plan sets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted technical resource.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, with opportunities to participate in outreach and training initiatives.

Why CEC?

  • Clear career path with opportunities to grow into senior project management, technical leadership, or practice leadership roles.
  • Profitable, employee-centered culture: 55% of company profits are returned to our employees through our annual bonus pool.
  • Comprehensive benefits start on Day 1, including health, vision, dental, life, disability, pet insurance, FSA/HSA, and more.
  • 401(k) with company match plus up to 2% profit-sharing contribution, fully vested starting the first of the month after you join.
  • Collaborative, flexible workplace, with hybrid options that support work-life balance and professional autonomy.
  • Culture that values innovation, mentorship, community involvement, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience delivering bridge design projects, including design-bid-build and design-build.
  • Proven experience developing proposals and building strong client relationships.
  • ODOT and/or OTIC design experience required.
  • Experience in marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and industry-standard bridge design software.
