We are currently accepting applications from candidates with a robust training background in imaging instrumentation or image algorithm development. Individuals with expertise in ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging are strongly encouraged to apply. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on availability of support. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Application Procedure - The University of California, Irvine, Medical Center is located in Orange, California and is the only level I trauma center in the region. The hospital is an NCI-designated cancer center with multidisciplinary research opportunities available. The department performs over 220,000 examinations per year and has 30 full-time and part-time faculty. All imaging equipment is state of the art. The department has active multidisciplinary collaborations with other services. The section provides CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy/radiography imaging services; invasive procedures are performed separately by the interventional radiology section. The UC Irvine Medical Center is a 450-bed acute care and tertiary referral facility.
