We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join our Manufacturing Engineering department at Komatsu Longview Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, materials science, and heat treatment processes. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and performance of our products through effective heat treatment and material testing. Key Job Responsibilities
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a metallurgical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a focus on heat treatment. Technical Skills: Proficient in metallurgical testing techniques, heat treatment processes, and failure analysis methods. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASTM, ISO, and AMS. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and develop effective solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Software Proficiency: Experience with metallurgical analysis software and tools.
