The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Plant Driver or Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our Columbia City Mill Service location in Columbia City, Indiana. This candidate would operate equipment for the purpose of transporting and delivering various types of materials or equipment between operations and repair facilities or throughout the mill. Opportunity for growth into other areas of heavy equipment operation with successful completion of qualifications. Pay: $20+ per hour based on experience; plus $2/hr shift differential for nights Shift: One day shift position open: 7am-7pm Three night shift positions open: 7pm-7am Benefits Competitive pay Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement Comprehensive Benefit Plan Development Opportunities Responsibilities The Driver will: Performs pre-trip and pot-trip vehicle inspections along with routine greasing, oiling and fueling Load, unload and transports materials Ensures truck is properly loaded Proceeds to scale to be weighted and received paperwork Monitors changes in truck performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance personnel Maintains cleanliness of vehicle Complies with all safety regulations and policies Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of equipment (e.g., engine, hydraulic component, tires, etc.) Basic mechanical aptitude Valid Driver's License Basic Communication skills To Apply Please submit your resume.
