Job Description: Amherst College invites applications for the IT Project Manager position. The IT Project Manager is a full-time, year-round position, starting at $90,000 - commensurate with experience. Given Amherst's distinction as one of the most diverse liberal arts colleges in the country, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ways in which they bring value to and will work towards supporting a broadly diverse community. Reporting to the CIO, the IT Project Manager supports major projects within the IT Department. The Project Manager works independently as well as collaboratively to lead and facilitate technology projects throughout the department and the institution. This role requires an outstanding blend of leadership, project management and business analysis skills, and an understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principles. The IT Project Manager will play an important role in advancing the objectives of the Information Technology team and will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance the efficacy of business and IT processes. The Project Manager is expected to keep their skills and knowledge current and to keep abreast of evolving best practices and new PM-related technologies and methodologies. The Project Manager takes appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
