Job Summary: The Assistant Director-Clinic is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day clinic operation. He/she creatively handles difficult situations/issues; Interfaces with physicians, employees and patients, maintaining positive relations with ability to delegate and coordinate responsibility. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a Business or other health care related field required. Minimum of five years supervisory experience in health care required. Two additional years of healthcare experience accepted in lieu of education.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively, think critically, work independently, perform basic math/ statistical functions, manage multiple assignments, compose written material. Able to work well under pressure, problem solve, prioritize workload, and recall information with accuracy. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid California driver's license and auto liability insurance required.
