We are seeking talented analysts, engineers, and software developers to help us deliver ground-breaking capabilities to our sponsors. As a Senior Signals Intelligence Systems Analyst, you will...

  • Collaborate with development teams to assess the impact that proposed hardware and alortihm changes will have on collection systems operations
  • Propose user interface updates that enhance the capability of collection systems as a whole
  • Work with capability development teams to analyze collected data and demonstrate system feasibility and quantify system performance
  • Support task planning activities by creating workflows for briefing collaborators, executing training, and rolling out capabilities
  • Work in sponsor facilities to integrate and test software updates
  • Work alongside system users to observe use cases and explain software features and collection products
  • Work with APL operations and maintenance leads to maintain awareness of troubleshooting needs or observed anomalies

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have expertise in Communications and Signals collection systems for the USG or DoD
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience
  • Have experience working with wireless communications protocols and signal modalities
  • Have 2+ years of experience in RF signal collection
  • Have experience delivering training for operational hardware or software systems
  • Have experience working in Linux operating systems and SIGINT collection applications
  • Are comfortable and effective in communicating with peers about highly technical topics
  • Hold an active TS/SC+Poly security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll exceed our minimum requirements if you...

  • Are experienced in RF and signals and systems theory and have operational domain knowledge
  • Possess a MS or PhD in mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics, human factors engineering, or a related field
  • Have demonstrated ability in a technical position, with experience leading a small simulation, software development, or data analysis task
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and application of machine learnng or statistcal analysis techniques
  • Have MATLAB or Python programming experience
  • Have experience working in the Intelligence Community
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with government sponsors
  • Possess and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
