Counselor - EAP UnityPoint Health - Allen Shift: Full-time or part-time position available Benefits Eligible The Counselor provides confidential assessment, counseling, and referral, if necessary, to clients who qualify for Employee Assistance Program benefits and is responsible for clinical documentation of these services. The Counselor also participates in crisis on-call coverage rotation. The Counselor assists the substance abuse counselor in providing substance abuse screens/referral on hospitalized patients when needed. Why UnityPoint Health?

Responsibilities
- Complete thorough assessment of client's presenting needs and develop a plan of action.
- Provide brief counseling and crisis call response according to EAP departmental guidelines.
- Provide appropriate referral beyond EAP, as needed, that is based upon client's needs and available community resources.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call crisis coverage rotation when office is closed.
- Ensure that client documentation is complete, thorough, and timely, according to EAP departmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in either Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy
- Any of the following: LMHC, tLMHC, LISW, LMSW, LMFT
- A minimum of 1 year counseling experience with supervision preferred
- Area of Interest: Behavioral Health Services;
- FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.0;
