Shift: 7a-7:30p/7p-7:30a with every third weekend The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU). The MPCU is a 21-bed high acuity-intermediate care unit, with a dynamic environment where a team of fun-loving health care professionals work together to take care of complex critically ill adult patients. Nurses on the MPC manage a wide range of complex medical conditions, including but not limited to sepsis, respiratory failure, liver disease, renal disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, and alcohol withdrawal. Unique to our IMC, our nurses will have the opportunity to care for patients on ventilators, administer vasoactive drips, and perform cardiac monitoring to ensure the highest level of patient care. MPC nurses are compassionate individuals with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent communication skills. Our nurses will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to all of our patients.
