SAF-HOLLAND is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities at our Kansas City facility. This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving equipment reliability, coordinating facility projects, and supporting a safe, productive operation.

As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment, coordinating repairs, and ensuring our operation runs safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate facility maintenance activities
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts, supplies, and tooling
• Oversee tool crib operations and equipment audits
• Coordinate contractor activities, landscaping, and snow removal services
• Support facility improvement and construction projects
• Train employees on maintenance procedures and safety requirements
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies

Successful candidates will have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance, facilities, tool room, machine shop, or industrial maintenance experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

• Associate degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Technical certifications, skilled trades training, apprenticeships, or maintenance-related certifications
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or transportation environments

This position requires working in an industrial environment and may involve:

• Standing and walking throughout the workday
• Lifting up to 90 pounds with assistance or lifting devices when necessary
• Operating hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and material handling equipment
• Working around manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Occasional overtime as needed to support operations
