Role & Essential Functions EWI is a world leader in developing and deploying new technologies that enable companies to bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing implementation. EWI Associates are passionate about identifying out-of-the-box options that provide a long-term competitive advantage for our clients. Our clients tell us we are a valuable extension and complement to their innovation, engineering and manufacturing teams. If you enjoy dealing with customers and solving difficult, technical problems, EWI is the place for you. An NDE Technician coordinates and executes project tasks in support of NDE-related research. The Technician performs and oversees inspections across EWI's NDE methods, with emphasis on radiography (film and CT), along with UT/PAUT, eddy current, thermography, PT, MT, and VT. The role also supports CIVA modeling, POD studies, and NDE training, and contributes to research in emerging methods such as laser UT, EMAT, and air-coupled UT. The Technician may be asked to develop technical proposals or other business opportunities pertaining to NDE, working directly with the customer to understand their technical challenges. The Technician works with engineers to develop and execute internal research projects to further develop EWI's NDE offerings. As capacity allows, the Technician may support other research groups to execute project tasks outside of the NDE department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
