  • Monitor recipient financial and performance reports, expenditures, milestones, award conditions, and modification requests to identify compliance issues and emerging risks.
  • Prepare monitoring guides, recipient questions, technical assistance materials, and closeout documentation, and support engagements with federal staff and grant recipients.
  • Maintain complete and organized grant records, reporting trackers, and program documentation in SharePoint and other approved systems.

Grant Evaluation and Impact

  • Develop consistent review criteria, evaluation tools, risk assessments, and concise decision materials for federal award selections.
  • Collect and analyze program data, performance measures, monitoring results, and recipient reports to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with technical and operational personnel to define meaningful outcomes and evidence of performance, mission impact, and cybersecurity risk reduction.
  • Develop assessments, case studies, impact analyses, and recommendations that communicate program effectiveness and inform leadership decisions.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and process guides for pre-award through post-award workflows.

Stakeholder and Client Engagement

  • Coordinate with federal program staff, grant recipients, cyber experts, and other stakeholders to gather information, resolve questions, and support program delivery.
  • Plan and facilitate webinars, workshops, monitoring discussions, and working sessions, including agendas, discussion guides, and follow-up actions.

Communications and Data Visualization

  • Translate complex grant, financial, technical, and operational information into clear products for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare briefings, reports, decision memoranda, executive summaries, findings, recommendations, and other client-ready deliverables.
  • Use tables, dashboards such as Power BI, and data visualizations to communicate program status, risks, outcomes, and accomplishments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, finance, communications, or a related field.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience supporting grants management, federal programs, program evaluation, management consulting, or related work.
  • Working knowledge of the federal grant lifecycle, including application review, budget analysis, award monitoring, performance reporting, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into clear findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate with federal personnel, technical experts, and grant recipients.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security entry-on-duty suitability or a security clearance, as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting federal financial assistance programs, particularly within the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Experience applying 2 CFR 200 or related federal grant requirements.
