At RK Industries, every successful project starts with the right materials arriving at the right place at the right time. As our Transportation Manager, you'll oversee transportation, dispatch, and third-party carrier operations supporting RK's headquarters, fabrication facilities, warehouses, and project sites. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, compliance, and cost control.

What You'll Lead

• Manage and mentor Dispatchers and Transportation Coordinators.
• Establish operating standards, training programs, and succession plans.
• Execute efficient routing, load planning, and resource allocation strategies that maximize fleet utilization and meet customer and project deadlines.
• Build and manage high-performing carrier and driver partnerships to ensure reliable capacity, strong service levels, and consistent operational execution.
• Ensure shipment readiness and real-time visibility by proactively coordinating logistics requirements, mitigating disruptions, and communicating recovery plans to key stakeholders.
• Reduce transportation costs and improve operational efficiency through route optimization, load consolidation, KPI management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and operational continuity by managing transportation risks, resolving service failures, and implementing effective contingency and recovery strategies.
• Leverage transportation technology, telematics, ERP systems, and analytics tools to improve decision-making.Monitor transportation budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving opportunities

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or carrier management.3+ years leading transportation, dispatch, operations, or logistics teams.
• Experience managing third-party carriers, contracts, rates, service levels, and performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of transportation operations, customer service, and operational planning
• Experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, fabrication, prefabrication, or project-based logistics environments
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, fleet safety, and transportation compliance.
