Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Duties



  • Perform corrosion repair, minor bodywork, and preparing vehicle for paint.
  • Includes all tasks associated to washing, surface preparation, and masking
  • Maintains records by recording service and repairs
  • Maintains shop equipment by following operating instructions
  • troubleshooting
  • maintaining supplies
  • Performing preventive maintenance
  • Reporting to Team Lead that repairs are needed.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock
  • Reporting to Team Lead when orders need to be placed



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
  • Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.



Experience Requirements



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
  • Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Painter Prep Technician.
  • Some experience with auto body paint prepping.
  • Experience in Corrosion Control programs procedures is preferred, but not required.
  • Automotive painting, body shop, industrial coating, or surface-preparation experience is preferred but not required



Physical Capabilities



  • Physical requirements vary by assignment and will be discussed during the hiring process.
  • Candidates should be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam
  • Must be able to pass an OSHA respirator medical evaluation
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license
